Where to play Wheel of Fortune slots online: states, versions and launch dates

Wheel of Fortune slots are online for real money in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia: on April 17, 2024, BetMGM launched Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin in all four, on BetMGM, Borgata and the Wheel of Fortune Casino site. New Jersey has the longest record, with IGT’s Megaways version live there from March 1, 2021. We found no operator listing for any Wheel of Fortune slot in Connecticut, Delaware or Rhode Island.

Which Wheel of Fortune slots are online, and where?

Online, Wheel of Fortune is a set of separate IGT games, each with its own wheel bonus and RTP. The state evidence differs from one to the next:

Caesars Palace Online and Bally Casino also have Triple Extreme Spin pages. Bally operates in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island, but its site does not say which games run in which state, so it does not confirm Rhode Island.

New Jersey: where the online versions started

New Jersey has had legal online casinos since November 2013, and its Wheel of Fortune record goes back furthest:

• March 1, 2021: IGT launched Wheel of Fortune Megaways, built with Big Time Gaming, first in New Jersey.
• May 31, 2023: IGT launched the first omnichannel wide-area progressive in the US: the online game Wheel of Fortune Triple Gold Gold Spin, linked with 18 land-based $1 Wheel of Fortune themes, with a $500,000 reset. We could not confirm whether the link still runs.
• April 17, 2024: Triple Extreme Spin went live on BetMGM, Borgata and Wheel of Fortune Casino.

Borgata also carries Wheel of Fortune Gold Spin Triple Red Hot 7s, whose rules tie jackpot eligibility to the size of your bet and pay the jackpot in 20 annual installments. New Jersey’s online casinos are tied to Atlantic City casino licensees, and the Division of Gaming Enforcement publishes the approved list; casinonline.us.com’s New Jersey guide walks through the state’s licensed online casinos.

Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia

The April 2024 Triple Extreme Spin launch is the dated evidence for all three states. Other versions may sit in their lobbies too, but we found no state-by-state listing for them, so we do not claim them. If a lobby in one of these states shows another Wheel of Fortune title, its rules screen tells you which game it is and what it returns.

States where no version is confirmed

IGT’s online division lists Connecticut, Delaware and Rhode Island among its US markets, alongside the four above. That shows IGT supplies those states, not which titles their casinos carry, and we found no Wheel of Fortune listing in any of them. Maine legalized tribal online casinos in January 2026, but as of October 2026 its rules were still being written and no site was live.

Before you spin

The game has paid floor jackpots since 1996, but online it comes with the usual conditions: 21 or older, inside a legal state for the whole session, and a geolocation check to prove it. Living elsewhere is fine; playing from elsewhere is not, and a site that accepts real-money slot bets from a state without legal online casinos is not licensed there. Our responsible gambling page covers ages, helplines and self-exclusion.

Search “Wheel of Fortune” in the lobby while you are in the state and check the full title on the rules screen, because RTP varies by version: 94.22% for Triple Extreme Spin, 96.46% for Megaways, and 92.50% to 96.60% for On Tour, rising as you reach higher levels.

The Wheel of Fortune overview covers the game’s history. Every online version compared shows how each one plays, and Wheel of Fortune RTP and volatility explains the payback spread. For how linked jackpots are funded, see progressive jackpots on US online slots.
